'The Promised Land' is an organization deeply rooted in the philosophy of creating spaces that resonate with peace, spirituality, and global unity. Through 'The Promised Land,' we are encouraged to do the work to preserve and enhance the spiritual and historical significance of sacred sites, with a primary focus on the Ramagrama Stupa and the broader Lumbini area in Nepal. Possessing a multifaceted mission, we aim not only to preserve vital historical and archaeological sites but also to bring these treasures to the forefront of global audiences, fostering the promotion of spiritual tourism and the development of Lumbini as a center for Buddhist learning and a hub for research.

RAMAGRAMA WORLD PEACE PROGRAM

On the momentous day of December 12th, an event of unparalleled significance unfolded at the hallowed grounds of Ramagrama Stupa, weaving a new tapestry of spiritual communion and global solidarity. Orchestrated by The Promised Land in a harmonious collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, The Lumbini Development Trust, and The Ramgram Municipality, this gathering was not merely an event but a pilgrimage into the heart of peace itself.

The ceremony was illuminated by the esteemed presence of the Right Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda". In his role as the Chief Guest, he undertook the profoundly symbolic act of Lighting the Flame of Eternal Peace. This gesture, set against the backdrop of the majestic Ramagrama Stupa—a beacon of spiritual magnificence—echoed the timeless call for unity and tranquility. The Prime Minister's words, imbued with a deep sense of purpose, resonated through the air, merging with the ethos of peace that the Stupa itself symbolizes.

This historic convocation marked an unprecedented chapter in the legacy of Ramagrama Stupa, transforming a traditional ceremony into a landmark of global peace and cooperation. It stood as a vivid embodiment of hope, a testament to the indomitable spirit of collective human effort towards crafting a world where understanding and compassion are not just ideals but the very pillars of our existence.

Beyond the celebration of peace, the event was a clarion call to action—a gentle but firm reminder that the journey towards peace is a collective endeavor. It invited individuals and communities alike to not only witness but to become carriers of this flame of peace, to weave it into the fabric of their thoughts, words, and deeds.

As we reflect on the significance of this day, let it be remembered not just as a moment in time, but as a beacon guiding us towards a future where peace is the horizon we all navigate by. The Ramagrama Stupa, on this day, became more than a monument; it became a symbol of our collective aspiration for a world united in peace and harmony.

We believe in empowering these communities by providing opportunities for sustainable livelihoods, education, and healthcare, ensuring that the development of Lumbini is inclusive and beneficial to all. At the same time, we are dedicated to promoting this place as a place of peace and understanding. By organizing various activities, cultural performances, youth participation, and spiritual gatherings, and inviting people from the international arena from diverse backgrounds to engage in dialogues, we spread the message of peace and harmony as taught by Buddha.
